Senior project product description
_For my senior project product I am wiring a box in a house. It
will relate to my paper because in my paper I am talking about the history,
process, and tools. For my product, I will have to use a variety of electrical
tools to wire the box. I will also learn about the age of the process while
making my product and perhaps my mentor can teach me what he knows about the
history as well.
I have no previous knowledge about my topic. I chose this topic because
it sounds interesting and I want to learn more about it. I also think that
wiring boxes and walls to make electricity for houses will be fun and
interesting to learn. Since I don’t know anything about electricity I think I
will learn a lot of new things in this subject. I get to learn of its history,
the process, and tools involved in electrical
work.
I will spend five hours with my mentor learning about the tools and the
process along with the safety required around the wires needed. I will spend the
remaining ten hours learning the proper way to wire a box in a house and wiring
the box properly. I also hope to spend some time with my mentor to learn how to
become a legal electrician today.
My mentor is Nicky Allen; he has been an electrician for 13 years. He
will be helping me learn about each tool used in electrical work along with the
proper way to use them. He will also teach me some of the process needed to wire
houses properly and becoming an electrician today. My mentor has all the tools
needed and the cost on the wire will be around thirty to forty dollars on my
product.
From my product I hope to learn whether this would be a good job to go
into and if I would be interested in doing this as a hobby or career. For my
photos I hope to take pictures of some of the tools needed. I also would like
have photos of my mentor along with me wiring the box. My photos will also
consist of my mentor and I working together as I learn the safety
needed.
My product will be creative because I have to work with my hands to wire
properly which takes time and patience. I think my product will be interesting
because I have never done anything like this before and it will be a new
experience for me. I also think it will be interesting because it is new to me
and I can’t wait to learn something that I am interested in. It will be creative
because no one else is doing the same thing as I am or doing the same
subject.
I will incorporate my product into my final presentation by telling what
I did and how it relates to my paper. I will also bring in some tools needed to
show what I used and how they are used as a visual aid for my project. I also
hope to show the box I wired along with my pictures for my visual
aids.

For my product, I will complete a facial on the mannequin and use the proper products. 2.5 hours Interview questions, discussed personal/ profesional development, read facial chapter from textbook. 1 hour read waxing chapter in book/ disscussed. 2 hours observed waxing setup, procedure and clean up disscussed observations. 1.5 hours observed setup and prep for facial, cleanup and disscussed disenfection and sanitary procedures. 1 hour worked on bioghraphy questions and answers session reviewed facials and waxing. 1 hour read through skin physiology chapter 2 hours skimmed through make-up anatomy and chemistry chapters of text book. 2 hours observed facial, worked on mannequin. 1.5 hours practiced facial moves and waxing procedures on mannequin. 1 hour discussed and went over any last minute questions, concerns, weaknesses. |
