Cami Smith
My mentor was Cami Smith. She was born in the spring of 1974 in Winterpark Florida. She lived in Florida until she was 21 then moved here to the mountains which she loves. She became interested in health and care of your being after she moved here and decided to go to school for skin care. She graduated from A-B Tech in the summer of 2011. She found a job as an estheticion fast after she graduated and is building a great clientele. She believes her experience has paid off. She has now been married for 11 years. She use to be a vet assistant before she decided to go to school to become an estheticion. She is very outdoorsy and she loves yoga, hiking, and animals. She has 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a rabbit named bun bun. She loves to help people relax and be stress free.

1. What is some of the history of make-up?
A- In 1550BC Egyptians produced cosmetics such as kohl and lipstick.
2. Where did it come from?
A- It came from Egypt and during the reign of Queen Victoria make-up was discouraged.
3. What did people use during Egyptian time to apply make-up?
A- Kohl and lipstick as far as history can tell.
4. What are some of the new techniques to apply make-up?
A- A cosmetic sponge, and cosmetic brushes
5. How is it done?
A- With a sponge you have to do a pat and role methods along with a blending method making sure you blend into the jaw line.
6. What do you feel is the best way for hair removal?
A- I would say waxing because it’s one of the most requested and it’s the best temporary.
7. What is the least painful way to have hair removed?
A- Chemical depilatory and shaving.
8. What new technologies are there for hair removal?
A- Laser hair removal, electrolysis, and pulsed light.
9. What type of products do you use for facials?
A- Cleanser, toner, exfoliate, essential oil, mask moisturizer, eye cream, and warm steamed towels.
10. What is the best way for a facial to be applied for the first time?
A- With the hands because it’s the most sensitive sense we have.
11. How do facials help your skin?
A- Cleansing the skin getting all the dirt and impurities off, exfoliating gets all the dead skin cells off and gives the skin a healthy looking glow, moisturizing also keeps skin young and supple, and touch is most important for it all.
12. Can facials help with removing acne?
A- Yes it helps more than anyone really thinks.

A- Egyptians were obsessed with beauty, it helped reduce the glare of the sun, and it helped prevent eye infections.
